Beloved Granny's bday!

We celebrated granny's bday at Marina Bay Sands. I dont really like that place, but since my uncle booked that hotel because of the CASINO. We went ahead to the hotel anyway. Before that, baby & I went to collect the cake that I ordered.

The hotel has a good view, although the aircon was sucky, not really working.

This was the view we had, not bad, & I always wondered about the Art Science museum, it looks very small.

We had alot more pictures, but its all with my uncle in his DSLR. I'll share once I get it from him.

The day before that was my cousin's 18th birthday & she was rather upset that her parents didnt give her the present she expected.

We were getting coffee, & I kinda consoled her, but surprise, surprise...

She was told to chose between a red packet or a white envelope.

She chose the white envelope & it was..........

It was a 27inch IMAC! she kinda 'unwrapped' the desktop in the hotel room.

How sweet, surprises are the best!

We went up to the skypark & it was freaking crowded although the pool & all looks nice.

That concludes the trip to MBS.

Happy to have my granny with us every year. She raised me, fed me, brought me to the doctor, fetch me from school.

I love her. Lots.

Ka-chow everyone! Have you caught Cars 2 yet? If you havent, you HAVE TO, omg, it is freaking funny, has a good storyline, and really entertaining.

The Mater truck is hilarious!

Anyway, passed by H&M today, & the Q to enter the building is all the way to Forever 21 at 313, ridiculous or what? Of course I gave it a miss & I salute all those carrying H&M shopping bag today because they are truly motivated, dedicated, determined shoppers. HAHAHA, & I thought Im crazy about shopping.

I was ironing my clothes, something I hate doing & I lost count of how many pieces of animal print clothing I have, especially leopard, hahah.

Ever since I got my new phone, baby has been spending more time with it then I do, this is when I have not even gotten a screen protector yet.

He was already busy downloading things onto my phone.

Baby surprised me with something from Sephora:

& it is this palette from Urban Decay, I couldnt get a good picture of it because it is a fingerprint magnet & I cant get the picture to show how reflective it is, but it is like a gunmetal purple & the packaging is beautiful, like the most beautiful thing I have on my vanity top.

I know the Naked Palette was like super popular, like a Holy Grail & it get sold out days or even hours after restocking all the time but I didnt get it simply because the colours are all the colours I own with other trios or palette & since I wear neutral colours alot, I do have a vast collection of golds, bronze, browns etc.

Although I wear alot of neutrals, I still LOVE colours, like brights. So this palette is right up my alley.

Looking at my collection of eyeshadow, I have 2 full racks, plus trios & quads that I keep separately in my drawer, but this palette has some unique colours that I cant say I have similar ones to.

Cant get a clearer shot because firstly, my camera is OLD, secondly, if i use flash, it will be overexpose, but no flash means unclear even with a little shake.

I am really a makeup junkie.haha

But it is the prettiest thing I own, Love it! ^^

& also, yesterday we cooked dinner at home because we are so sick of food outside.

I had black pepper chicken chop with mushroom cream cheesy sauce with potatos...

Yummmy max, but takes 1 hr to cook all the stuffs, only 20 mins to finish them, and more then 20mins to wash up. That part sucks.

Baby's looks boring, but it is NICE, Teriyaki chicken chop with no sauce.hahha. He doesnt want my creamy mushroom sauce, so its just naked chicken for him.

Made breakfast this morning too, but ugh, I need to buy a non stick pan, always scrub my pan like crazy, but always make baby do the job... heee...

Alrighty...gotta go eat my supper now!

Ladies out there, please dont strave yourself to stay skinny, it is CRAZY!!! You only live once, EAT, FEED YOURSELF, STAY HEALTHY.

Watched: Rise of the planet of the apes

Just watched this movie & although I know its a remake or something, I never watched any of the old ones to compare, but this one is awesome.

Although some parts are abit far fetched, but I was telling baby its totally possible for apes to learn & become damn smart, especially after being 'upgraded' twice. Oh, & did I mention the CG is very good.

The movie is touching at some parts because Caesar, the ape, is smarter then the regular chimps, has the intelligence of a young kid, but is unable to express much, therefore, you see the struggle of him trying to fit into the world between human & animal.

I managed to get 2 off days because of the weekends that I burnt at work, baby & I decided to go to the museum to see the exhibition on the terracotta warriors.

Baby told me terracotta is actually the material used to make these figures. If you haven already know that, fact of the day for you =)

I know nothing much about history, but I am amazed at how the First Qin Emperor was crowned king at the age of 13, & how he thought building all these will 'guard his empire in the afterlife'

We were lucky to have benefited from the National Day promotion, we paid discounted rates and were able to view the rest of the museum for free.

I also learnt how the warriors are made. Their hands, head, legs,body were all made separately and then assembled. This way, it is more productive as I believed they formed a kind of production line.

After they were assembled, they were arranged according to military rank in the respective pits.

These are of course not the real terracotta warriors.

There were some modern pieces made by local artist.

Got laptop somemore. haha, moving on the the regular exhibits before entering the special exhibition area.

There were many interesting things however there is no flash photography allowed in the museum thus I didnt take much.

Stopped for a break because we bumped into a big group of secondary students & we wanted for them to finish viewing the exhibition first, they were very very noisy... =.=

I have no idea why the year is the other way round, from 259 - 210 BCE, but baby said BC's year all like this. The Qin Emperor died young at 49, he ruled for 25 years.

He was not a very good king, more like a dictator, he started building the first version of the great wall of china,which served as a defensive wall, which many slaves died doing.

He was afraid of getting old & dying, ironically, since he died young. Ive read somewhere that he had people built him many underground tunnels as passageways in his palaces, he had more then 200 palaces! He would travel underground so no ghost or evil spirits will follow him.

Since he burnt many books back then, many things cannot be confirmed. I have no idea how he died so I went online to find out.

According to Wikipedia, he died because he ate some mercury pills made by his court doctors that was suppose to make him immortal.

He died young, however he succeeded in completing his own tomb before he died,

He had 4 main pits & the main pit, pit 1 contained more then 6000 terracotta warriors. He was very elaborate about his tomb, this is the breakdown according to wikipedia:

the pit 1 has 11 corridors, even has wooden ceiling suppported by large beams & posts. The design was also used for the tombs of noblemen & would have resembled palace hallways.

Pit 2 has cavalry & infantry units as well as war chariots. Pit 3 is the command post with high ranking officers & a war chariot. Pit 4 was empty, seemingly unfinished by its builders.

These are the terracotta warriors on display.

I wish they had brought in more of thee warriors but I guess they are all fragile to transport around. However, I really enjoy these kind of exhibition & display, I learnt quite alot of things, these are parts of history on display. You guys still can catch it, I believe the exhibition last till Oct.

I saved the best for the last, there was ths dagger on display, I dont even know if it is a dagger or there is another name for it, but it is beautiful!

Other then the terracotta warriors, this is the most beautiful thing I saw in the museum that day.

Fast forward to last weekend we went to eat a famous Fish&Chips stall near my place at Toa Payoh, I didnt take any picture because I left my camera at home, but the fish is awesome, managed to snapped a picture of us before leaving, but baby had a sore eye.

The ironing board in the background reminded me I was ironing that day, I hate ironing so muchhhh........ =(

I watched many movies recently, its like my favourite thing to do, other then shopping of course. LOL

Bridesmaid was one of the movies I was looking forward to watching & frankly I hated it. It looks funny & unpredictable like Hangover, but seriously, it is all about a whiny woman who has low self esteem, caused herself all those trouble, and it was just a irritating movie to me.

Many people liked it, its just my personal opinion, I hated it.

Horrible Bosses was funny! It is a must watch, I wouldnt spoil it for you if you don't already know the storyline, so go watch it!

& I had no idea that my camera was on ZOOM mode, these are the aftermath...BIGHEAD photos.

Just watched Captain America today, better then I expected, Chris Evans is hot, like I think he's better looking here then in other movies...

I had alot of questions in my head while watching the movie, like how come he is alive & can lead the Avengers when he was friends with Howard Stark, Tony Stark's father when Tony in Ironman is like 40ish!?

blah blah blah, but the movie slowly unfolds & answers all my questions, or rather most.

I love Marvel Comics' movies & I cant wait for Avengers, I kinda didnt expect Cobie Smulders to be in it as Maria Hill, but I shall be waiting.

How come all the powerful things that the good & bad fight for always comes in a cube form?

Transformers has the Allspark, Captain America has the tesseract. Okay, that was just a random thought.

The movie was good overall, just some parts abit 'kuazhang', but again, he was injected with some superhuman serum, guess its suppose to make him more then human, but I think he's only that damn good because of the shield Howard Stark made him.

I like how Huge Weaving's name in the show sounds almost like Smith too! hahaha, I think he is only known to many people as Agent Smith.

I wanna watch Bridesmaid too, maybe I will do that tomorrow...

After burning my weekends away at the Singapore International Jewellery Show, I finally get to rest! Awesome, a much needed break, gonna catch Captain America later, not as excited about this as Ironman, but its something you just have to watch right? hahaha, I like this kinda superhero show thou, other then like Batman, I dont care for Batman.

The dark knight was only good because of the joker, okay, at least to me.

Oh, some of you might know about this person on baby's blog that left a brainless but interesting comment in a post about a photo he posted of me (which was meant to be blogged, but he stole it & used it first). Random comment about plastic surgery.

How can anyone be so dumb, firstly he thought the picture of me is him! Secondly he called watermarking a 'scribble across the face'

Oh well, makes me laugh...

Before anyone comments or ask, I dont edit my photos, I am not good with photoshop or anything, only thing I did to them was watermarking because some previous pictures on my blog was downloaded.

Hi all! Im back from Brunei!

Quite frankly, other then the part where there is no entertainment, not much public transport, Brunei was not such a bad place.

Seriously, I would never thought i'll say this, but the weather in Brunei is better then Singapore's!

Its still as hot as Singapore, but it is not as humid! & I had such good hair days there.. hahaha...

ok, I was looking through my camera & I thought to myself I have so many photos that I have not blogged yet... so, here it is.

I tried Coldstone Creamery before I left for Brunei & for those on my Twitter or FB, u guys know I loved it!

It is nothing that great, I just enjoy the flavour.

my favourite so far is the banana caramel one. yumyum...

Its kinda a noisy place because every once in a while the staffs will cheer, or sing. So, if you wanna go there for some quiet icecream time, that is not going to happen. Other then that, the waffles are freshly made, ice cream's good. I noticed it is not on the very sweet side like Ben's & Jerry's, so if you have a sweeter tooth, this is maybe not good for you.

& seriously, the rest of the pictures I dont remember when I took them, other then those in Brunei....

I tried to watch the air display & all that happened to me was tearing... it was too hot to stare at the plane in sky, & I forgot my shades.

Singapore's F15 & F16's performance was really impressive.

Ive never seen Singapore Airshow's one although I work for them, how ironic, but our performance in Brunei was really good.

F16 is ridiculously fast.

LOL, this picture has a cute story.

I was bubblewrapping my equipment with baby's help when baby said, you know how to bubblewrap one or not.

My reply was Meh! I bubblewrapped all my equipment when I sent them up to Brunei, you think leh...?

Then he flipped the scanner stand that I was wrapping over & his finger got tapped under! ROFL.

Brunei has many beautiful mosques, managed to take some pictures.

My client drove around & got lost near the 1st beautiful mosque, & he spotted a nice thai resturant, the next day, he drove us there for dinner, man it was a blessing in disguise that he got lost.

The food in that Thai restaurant is so good that I don't think I have had anything like it.

We had to go to the petrol station to fill up the tank for the car, & over there, pump petrol need to Q....

LOOK AT THE PRICE... Full tank only costed us about 10-12bucks.

I was sick in Brunei for days, I was having very bad stomach upset I guess I couldnt get used to the spicy food diet there daily.

The pain was so bad I decided to see a...... not a doctor, but Medic.

Yes, I saw a medic for the first time of my life, & the medic seemed like she saw a english speaking patient for the first time of her life too. I was doubting if she could prescribe me the right thing.

Luckily for me, I can understand a bit of malayu.

The medicine did cure me after a day... =)

Oh what's worst was that our registration tentage had to evacuate 2 times because of CO2 poisoning.

The very smart contractor placed the generator directly outside the aircon units, & the fumes got sucked into the tent. Some people got sick, started to vomit & everything.

2nd time, there was a diesel leak plus the aircon was still blowing the CO2...

I'm thankful we survived Brunei....

Thankful that this fella was there to help out.

So, back to Singapore, put on some bright red lipstick to celebration.

Had dinner yesterday at Kim Gary with my favourite cousin, TRISHE & baby, but the picture with her was blur.

On a sidenote...

I cannot wait to change my phone to either the HTC Sensation or Samsung Galaxy SII. This one is killing me.
I think I need a little haircut, my hair is so long that I have to make sure it doesnt touch the toilet bowl... =.=
I am still obsessed with bright colours. Clothes, lips, nails. Kiddish much.
I am wearing a tshirt with a dinosaur print that says DINOMITE, talk about kiddish.

IT Show... Every year the same crowd, the same place, a men's heaven.

Im back from my short meeting trip from Brunei & Brunei is really slow paced compared to Singapore, I dont hate the place just that its really difficult to get around if you are not local.

The ban of alcohol makes it worst, hahaha, but again, it makes the country safe.

Recently, Ive caught a few movies I liked Fast & Furious 5 was awesome & Pirates of the Caribbean, , Xmen First Class was surprising good.

We got Olivia & Ursula. I swear these are damn worth the money.

Ursula is the one with the salmon & fresh spinach on top, baby liked this one better, the cheese under the pizza is something different but its not really spreaded out properly so you sortha get chunks of cheese on some pieces.

I found an awesome way to store my watches on my vanity to without the bulky boxes they come in. Although this might not be the best way to store expensive watches, but I figured mine are just average plus I like the way they look.

haha, I only have 2 pathetic watches although I wish to have a few more, but watches are generally kinda pricey!

How was everyone's long weekend? Mine was great until last night when suddenly I fell sick. It has been some time since I posted something & thus lotsa random pictures just sat around...

Over the weekend, I went out with my cousin and she was super cite about the perfume that I am obsessed recently from Victoria Secrets - Coconut Passion.

I cant say enough good things about this scent & she bought 3 bottles! Cant blame her, Sentosa is a long way to go just to get a perfume. I was sniffing around and had decided not to get anything until upon checkout, I found something that smelled awesome.

After so long, I am finally back with a short blog post that I intended to do some time ago, but I didnt really have the time.

This month is kinda bored & crappy cos of the shortage of Yusof Ishaks....

I was looking through my camera & I remembered what I wanted to blog about.

Firstly, for those people who think their job sucks...

I need to hook the 'hanger' looking thing into the hole of the clip... my arms were hurting. I literally filled the box!

Just finished another event, and many thanks to those temps who help out, and those who are not paid - IZAC LIM! Always make me feel guilty...

Recently, someone I haven seen in a long time asked me if I am bulimic... I was quite surprized by that question, really.

I dont ever remember going on diet and stopping myself from eating. I LIVE TO EAT!

People who know me WILL KNOW I am freaking far from being bulimic, I have no idea why some people have that thought that I am possibly bulimic...

I personally think too many people around me are on diet, seriously, many of the people around me who are yapping about eating too much & going on diet are averagely built.

You guys are not even chubby or plump, so please stop torturing yourself by only eating some pathetic pieces of bread or nothing at all because it will make you sick, eventually.

Whats the point of suffering from gastric pain or malnutrition just to attain your desirable weight?

I really dont get it.

Pardon me, but I dont understand how you live with yourself starving everyday.

Another question I had recently, was DO YOU HAVE EYELASHES?

hmm, no, I have balding eyelashes?

Of cos I do even if I choose to have falsies often enough.

Reason being I only have a defined crease on one eye, and the other eyelid is not as defined & its mono most of the time, & the easy way to fix it is to put on lashes so its not so obvious.

There are days when I cant be bothered & just head out with mascara.

I might be different from you because it takes me more time to apply mascara then to put on fake lashes, maybe because I am so used to it.

It is damn difficult for me to find a eyelash curler that suits my eye shape too, Ive even tried the popular Shu Uemura one that's suppose to be for Asians, but it just didnt work at all. The only one that works for me now is some cheapo one that I bought from Bangkok!

Anyone who has any suggestion for affordable eyelash curler please let me know...

The last episode of How I Met Your Mother that I watched, Marshall was upset about "Garbage Island". I went ahead and did a google search to know more about this place.

How it is formed is because of the water current that surrounds the area. As you can refer to in the above picture, the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre is a slowing moving spiral current created by high pressure air current. The current sweeps through places North America and Japan trapping the marine garbage and like a vortex, its trapped.I dont have full understanding on how the science of this works because, I am lousy at science, but the pictures that I found breaks my heart.

The marine life there is in a horrible mess and it is truly sad to see what is happening to them.

This is the picture that tears me apart. Look at what is in this bird's stomach! They dont even know these are not food.

So many animals/marine lives are dying of poisoning, if not even choking looking at the content of what this bird alone ate.

They are living in this trash vortex that they cant escape, it is said this is twice the size of Texas.

Lying there by the beach might be something that we threw out without thinking twice, but look at how much these rubbish has affected nature and those poor innocent animals.

The call for recycling now might be too late, but its better late then never. I am going to buy a water bottle instead of buying and disposing mineral water bottles all the time, not like it'll help this mess but if all of us do our parts, as little impact as it might have, you might just save a bird's life.

Im finally back with a blog post, after locating my camera cable. haha...

Thus, the pictures are mostly backdated...

I cant even remember where I was from some of these photos, but Im just gonna post them.

I love the ring, but the problem I have always had is if the rings goes by S,M,L etc, the S will still be a tad loose for me, which is what happens with this one too, & once I lost a ring without even knowing cos it just slipped out of my finger, especially if Im at somewhere with super cold aircon. *sighs*

Went to watch Rango on a Friday, enjoyed my long weekend. hahah, I had to take a picture of the popcorn because of who is on it!

Baby & I were walking around Ion basement because we figured we never went down there before, and he was totally tempted to eat this Japanese Curry Rice thingy, we saw some poster that they won some championship or something. He totally was distracted that we had plans to go home for dinner.

You can select how much rice you want for the meal, and we took "Economy" which was still a little too much for me. Frankly I am not impressed with the food, I thought it was okay, but I probably wont pay $12.50 again for a meal.

Back home satisfied.

The day I cant remember where we went! OMG. Im getting old.

Looking at the pictures made me realized I wore similar coloured top, guess I was feeling very bright & chirpy.

There was a pasar malam near my place and there was a stall that sold Stinky Tofu. Baby totally cannot stand the smell, although it was really smelly, I could tolerate, I can hold my breathe for a long time! Anyway, there was this stall that sold Tutu Kueh. It was my childhood snack, and I still totally love it.

Tadah! I always eat the peanut one, although the chocolate was tempting, but I really missed the peanut one.

Oh, I almost forgot, I wanted to tell you guys that the Cake Pop from Starbucks is awesome.

Its like a lollipop concept, so its called Cake pop, the one I had is called Birthday Cake, they have 2 or 3 other flavours. I loved how moist it is... Yummm...

As usual, 24th is the day.

We are 2 years & 2 months old.

Went to Republic of Steak for dinner, and the concept is much like Aston's.

It's a little small, and reservation is recommended. I didnt manage to take any photos because we are smack in the middle of nowhere and the other tables are so near to us.

The food is not bad, cant really compare to Aston because Ive only tried ROS once, but the lava cake was good.

Baby got me some Godiva chocolate yesterday, and yes he got me the bitter 72% one. LOVES!

I love the Pin-up look, & I think it is something that will never go out of style. Pin-up looks are always so sexy, and they ALL HAVE LOTSA BOOBS! Which is a little difficult for me, haha, but I love the overall look & makeup. That reminds me I have red lipsticks waiting to be tried out at home!

It is a little difficult to recreate if you have small eyes like me, haha, but the modern pinup look or pinup inspired looks are still rocking the fashion scene. You dont have to look exactly like them, of cos we cant unless we are Katy Perry or Christina Aguilera, but a inspired looks are limitless.

Its like they are born in that era! Love the makeup...

I saw this picture online yesterday & I thought to myself, its crazy to have so many kids, it looks like a day care for kids.

However, it's a beautiful picture, its a beautiful family.

The other day I was having a conversation with a friend, about kids.

Some of us think that without children, a family is not complete. To some extend, I agree with that sentence, but frankly, my strongest opinion is, if you don't think you can afford to provide for your kids, you might want to reconsider having one, especially in Singapore, everything is FREAKING EXPENSIVE, and frankly, unless I can afford to, I don't want to sloth my life away because I have a kid or two...

I always feel for two people to get married, its not about the children, its because you love each other.

Its not like you have to be rich to have babies, but at least be able to live comfortably even after the baby is here & not be worried that you don't have enough for medical fee or school fee.

Who doesn't want to have such a beautiful family portrait? I would love to...

Bees Attack!

I am freaking sleepy now because last night there was a bee "issue" at home, for some reason, the bees are all out to play and they are all buzzing around at home.

There was a FREAKING HUGE one, like literally the length of my little pinky, wth, I never doubted that might be the Queen Bee!

But that one disappeared and many smaller ones came along, but they all started dying, and I didnt want my granny or anyone to step onto one, so my brother & I each grabbed some newspaper and started to scoope them up...

Didnt sleep till about 2AM... I was so paranoid at every buzzing sound...

This's the crime scene at my lift lobby this morning... I wonder if it is the mating season or something...

The other day baby & I cooked dinner, and as usual, we like our spaghetti, quick & easy for the hungry me after work...

We bought some chicken thigh to cook as well...

And we decided to try the cream sauce this time, and I was quite skeptical about cream sauce and minced beef, maybe because cream sauce always go with seafood, or bacon etc, but we just decided to try... The sauce looked kinda gross in the pan like this, but actually it turned out great.

TADAH, done, it was yummy! This little table was from Ikea, it is damn useful, we always use it when we have our dinner in the room so we can have it infront of the laptop to watch our shows!

So baby and I went for a simple and very affordable dinner for Vday, but it was so packed that it was almost impossible to take a picture without the other 5 tables staring at you, and I just couldnt smile naturally! hahaha...

We both happen to like the same thing, which is the chicken chop with bacon & cheese, I ended up giving baby all the bacon, only leaving the cheese and chicken for myself, it was delicious, I cant live without chicken.

Since we couldnt take much pictures in the cafe, we took some when we're home, and it didnt turn out so well for me since my makeup has been on for like 12 hours already! My blusher was like gone by then.

I have been looking for a pouch for my BB since EVERY shop I went only has IPHONE casing, kinda sucks but what to do....

I found some I like online, but I didnt order them yet, but I saw the exact one in a shop, so I bought it... It was exactly what I wanted because I wanted my notification light to show, thus, I dont want a pouch that 'swallows' my whole phone.

And these are the rest of my purchases for the day, I got a new keys/ezlink card pouch (baby say I need a pouch for everything), a new shades holder since the one I have is kinda soft and my shades get crushed in my bag all the time, and a new necklace from Rubi. I love antique keys like these, dont know why...

Realized the POCHAI pill in the picture? OMG, it was the first time I ate Pochai Pill because my stomach has been hurting, and it really works!

Although it is damn gross because the little pills floats around in my mouth once I downed the water and it was kinda hard to swallow.

Oh, and I got my 1st Urban Decay palette, Im probably the only one who dont owe anything from that brand yet, but I love the colours of this one.

Urban Decay has one of the best packaging, and for girls that are suckers for packaging, you probably know what I mean, but its kinda pricey and I always end up not getting anything...

These are the swatch, but this is only ONE swipe across each colour, so you can build it up, or use them with the primer which is like the most raved primer. I dont have a problem with fading eyeshadows or a creasing problem, guess Im lucky not to have oily lids.

So I cant tell you how well the primer works, but I think it does a good job in allowing the shadows to be as vibrant as it is in the pan.

Baby also included 60 pcs of films for me to 'play' with... The film cost more then the camera! Initially, I was thinking it is such a huge camera and I was thinking it is freaking bulky, but when I saw the quality of the pictures, I was so satisfied I didnt have another word of complaint.

Im a very happy girl! I have been wanting a instant film camera for about 2 years now, but I always brush it away because I want to buy a better digital camera, but the pictures and experience this camera gives is so different and priceless.

We did 2 test shots, and although the one we took together was abit white, it looked kinda vintage-gy. haha... The flash was too white if it is so close, we have to adjust some setting. Have not really played with the settings yet, I also have a Marco lens which allows me to take close ups more clearly.

Baby mentioned this is a commercial camera compared to the smaller counterparts like the instax 50...

Hi everyone!

Happy Lunar New Year... I have not taken any pictures at all for CNY. haha, guess this shows how much I 'enjoy' this festival...

I was back at my parents' place, and all I did was watch Dexter... I finished like 1 season of Dexter within 1 day.

My mom loves pretty cups, teapots, plates like this, and these are the ones we use every lunar new year for breakfast...

That's mine without the baked beans. I think I hate all beans other then soyabeans...

Everyone else had beans...

I dropped by Victoria Secrets during the weekend to get a fragrance Ive always wanted since I smelled it...

I also got this one, the scent is what Ive always been looking for, however, the thing about Victoria Secret products are that they look cute, but the quality is nothing like how much these things cost.

Im not big into perfumes, fragraces and yet I find these doesnt last, so if you want your scent to last all day, these are not for you. I just love how these smells on me.

I only like have 4 perfumes including these 2, so that kinda tell Im not really a perfume girl.

Baby and I also went to try Wendy's for the first time, all because I heard so much about their baked potatos.

The burgers are really not that great, but the potato is awesome. I had the cheese & chili one, they also have other flavours.

What is neat about the burgers are they come in microwave-able wrappers, so good for heating up.

I finally went to see a specialist for my nose yesterday for my long term nasal problems and I underwent a minor surgical process to fix it(hopefully), my nose was bleeding for the whole damn day yesterday.

This is only 1 piece of tissue while waiting in the hospital, I used up almost one whole box yesterday, but at least I think I had the issue fixed.

The medical fee added up to about 300plus, and I had to pay 100 in cash, the rest is pending for Medisave payment, frankly, it is a small price to pay if it fixes my problem. Still heartache over the 300bucks that is now gone.....

On a happier note, I painted my nails with Teenage Dream, and I fell in love with that colour and I didnt 'Shatter' it until yesterday, pardon the base of the nails, I had the polish on for about a week now, I just wanted to show you guys how the OPI works and look like.

I love love the effect. Reminds me of Dinosaur eggs, I dont know why! hahaha

He never fails to surprise me, and today, it is the good way.

Last weekend he has finally completed his 2 year anniversary gift for me and I knew it was going to be handmade but I had no idea he was doing a cross stitch!

I think anyone that knows Michael Foo knows this is so not his kinda thing(at all).

I am totally impressed, and I was almost lost for words. Oh, he even bought some stars to add to the picture cos he said he thought it looked plain. LOL,

Katy Perry OPI Collection

Look what I have on my face today...

Its a freaking plaster because the huge zit is taking its own sweet time to recover and it is still very raw, so I dont wanna get any makeup on it and also keep the area dry and clean.

But I know its gonna take another decade for the scar to recover later! Anyone has any remedy or product to lighten scars pls share! haha

On a happier note, I finally gotten the Katy Perry OPI Collection! The only one I was very excited about was Teenage dream. I have no idea why because I am always into creme nail polish without glitter or shimmer. I like the plastic look on my nails maybe?

haha, but recently, I saw this and I knew I had to have it.

The glitter in the nail is just so beautiful! Along with this, I also got the black shatter and 'Not like the movies'.

Baby said its a 'insect' colour, which I agree! haha, its greyish, bluish, greenish...

Doesnt the colours look similar! hahaha...

I dont think the camera picked up the colour well, but when it hits the light, it is actually quite beautiful, I have not tried these yet, but when I do, I'll try to post pictures!

I am also tempted to get the poolside collection from Chinaglaze, but not all the colours, I thought the blue & the hot pink are kinda common colours.

A long long time ago, I mentioned how badly I wanted to get the colour "For Audrey" and I did, but the consistency of the polish is a disapointment because it is really streaky, I dont know if I am the only one with that problem, but I am so in love with that colour. Anyone know any dupes for that wonderful hue other then Chanel's Novelle Vague?

I stumbled upon the Mac's Wonderwoman collection for Spring 2011.
Im such a sucker for packaging, but the only thing Ive got from MAC so far is the Toxic Tale lipstick from the Villian Collection, Im looking at expanding my collection just because many of Mac's item are limited edition.
However since I always go for drugstore makeup, MAC is considered kinda pricey for me...
I am still waiting for the Peacocky collection to arrive in Singapore!

It was literally hell week for the past week, the event I was involved in is super crazy hours, I woke up like 3.30am and work ended like about 9pm...

I was so tired that I knocked out two days in a roll even before removing my makeup and bathing! I know that's gross, haha, but my brother did wake me up...

LOL, my dear brother never fail to make me laugh, although at times I feel like killing him. I guess this is what everyone who has a sibling feels.

I dont know how great are these, but whenever I use new products on my face, I tend to be very careful because I got sensitive skin, sometimes they break me out, sometimes they give me small bumps that are itchy and red...Lets hope these dont do this to me.

I didnt really like it because it was very warm and I never had been a fan of steamboat or these kinda BBQ(i prefer outdoor BBQ, yums!), and it was a shared grilled, and I had a problem with that because I am allergic to crab(I still have not gotten myself tested), the very last time I remember crabs broke me out into hives, so I had to place my meat where the crabs are not, and I am not a fan of seafood neither, so all I had was some chicken and beef.

However the view is nice, and I think by evening time, it will be much cooler...

I heard this song when baby & I went to Kbox over the weekend, and decided to check out the MTV, he came such a long way, and still, I find him cute!

Although the hair abit ah beng... haha...

Its amazing what a change of hairstyle or style can totally change your image and how you look.

Kelly Pan is looking much better then before, but I prefer her in the wavy long hair....

This is definitely when she is still in the competition(above).

Maybe we should consider a change of hairstyle every now & then, but again, I am very low maintenance with my hair, it has been black for the longest time for now.

After having it bleached turquoise and short some time ago (its not very clear, but I dont have other pictures right now) i am just too lazy to keep touching up the colour.

It kinda fried my hair because I was constantly dying my hair after that period. Now its just black and boring...

I am tempted to lighten it, but Im just not doing anything... procrastination is probably my middle name when it comes to this kinda thing.

Rainy & Sleepy.

This rainy weather makes me think my 2 pairs of boots are hardly enough to keep my feet dry. I hate hate hate my feet to be wet from the rain, its just like a pet peeve.

It got me thinking about rainboots! They seem really bulky and cumbersome, but really, it serves its purpose.

Ironically, I love the cool weather, unlike the humid Singapore weather.

Other little things:

1. I trimmed my hair & fringe myself months ago because it was really getting out of hand, and I finally went to my favourite hairdresser to get it 'really' trimmed. ^^

2. My hair is still full of static on some days and its getting hard to manage.

3. Still have some pictures on my camera to download and blog about.

4. Going to be overworked this coming weekend - like from 6am - 10pm, talk about the coming Monday, work is starting probably 5am, I cant even find makeup that can last that long on my face!

As much as I like mystery, this is not much of a coincidence.

Following the post on the dead fishes & birds in Arkansas, United States, more animals are turning up dead around the world.

Read the latest report from here, but long story short...

Fishes are found dead in Florida and Texas, birds are found dead on the streets of Sweden.

These are the rest of the happenings after the birds' death on New Year Eve.

Sardines and catfish are also found dead in Brazil and New Zealand is reporting more fish death. England is dealing with 40,000 crabs across the beach, two million dead fishes are also washed ashore in Maryland.

Was randoming searching for some world's natural phenomena, and some interesting things that I thought is really quite amazing.

The goats in Morocco climb trees to eat a fruit that they like that resembles olives. I even found a video on Youtube just because I thought this might just be photo shopped, I didnt believe it!

From July 25th to Sep 23th, 2001, in the state of Kerala in southern indian, red rain poured.

It was reported that red, yellow & black rain also occurred.

The government of India concluded that the rain was coloured by some airbone spores from a local algae

It is a natural light display mainly in the polar region. It can also be observed from other planets

I am super pumped about the new Transformer - Dark of the Moon... Just saw the new trailer today. Not so sure about the new girl though, I thought Megan Fox is wayyy hotter, although she probably had stuffs done on her face or body...

Ive always been a fan of action instead of love stories. Weird for a girl?
I have no idea why too, I love mystery, crime, comedy, but never love stories!

For those who have not seen the trailer...

I didnt watch Transformer during my childhood, and I often get confused in the cinema when the robots start fighting because they are just like metal against metal, and I lose track of who is who, but I always look out for the 'coloured' robots, they are usually the autobots...

Hmmm.. Im not even sure! hahaha...

After the whole Ted Williams episode, I thought of Peter Cullen, who is the voice behind Optimus Prime!

I believe he is the only one who also voiced over the animated series long ago who also voiced over for the movie.

I am so amazed at how these people just sound so ordinary, but when they put on that 'radio' voice, they have so much depth and control.

I wish I had a nicer sounding voice now!

Oh my god, this guy's voice sounded like it has been dubbed over. It is awesome!

His name is Ted Williams, and he was fighting drugs and alcohol, now he wishes to turn over a new leaf.

Hopefully some TV station give him a job!

It is true that most voice over talent look nothing like what they sound like....

Especially, the voice of ELMO!

Saw that MAC is launching a peacocky collection in the States

I am crazy in love with anything Peacock colour...

Teals, turquoise, greens, purples...

Although these are not the colours I wear daily on my eyes... I wear lots of bronzes and golds, just neutral colours. I happen to have teal on my eyelids today!

That reminds me I want the Naked Palette and just have not gotten my hands on it cos its 73bucks!

Although there are days I'll wear brighter colours, I love playing with colours, I wore green & red on my eyes on Xmas Eve! and lotsa crazy bright colours!

Nothing like this though, how awesome!

Although I think this(below) is a very wearable way of wearing peacock shades, but its still a alot to put on.

I totally think I want my ROM/wedding to be a peacock themed event.

I'll have all the reason to have make up like this!

Birds falling out from the skyyyy...

This news just reminded me of Flash Forward!

Thousand of red-wing black birds just fall from the sky, dead just before the new year. Is this creepy or what, and days later, ten of thousands of fishes were washed up, also dead...

hmmm... This is kinda freaky but Im really interested!

According to the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission:

BEEBE – Results from preliminary testing released today by the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission Veterinary Diagnostic Lab show that red-winged blackbirds died from massive trauma on New Year’s Eve.

The trauma was primarily in breast tissue, with blood clots in the body cavity and internal bleeding. All major organs were normal and the birds appeared to be healthy. Gizzards and stomachs of the birds were empty.

According to the report, “Further tests will be done to rule out other causes, but the birds suffered from acute physical trauma leading to internal hemorrhage and death. There was no sign of any chronic or infectious disease.”

It’s not apparent what caused the bird’s unusual behavior, although loud noises were reported shortly before the birds began to fall from the sky. Blackbirds have poor night vision and do not typically fly at night.

Beginning at about 11:30 p.m., Dec. 31, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wildlife officers received reports of blackbirds falling from the sky in a square-mile area of Beebe. It’s estimated that up to 5,000 birds fell before midnight. Most of the birds were dead, but some were alive when officers arrived.

The AGFC flew over the area in a helicopter to gauge the scope of the event. No dead birds were found outside of the initial area of fallen birds.
